My story

I am Hannah, 20 years old, and I started my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at LEONI in September 2019. Throughout my training, I gained diverse insights into all standard departments such as purchasing, financial accounting, controlling, sales, logistics, and HR. Additionally, I had the opportunity to gain experience in more unconventional areas such as facility management, personnel development, and the tax department. Even during my apprenticeship, I was trained in my transition department, which allowed for a seamless move to my current role as a sales clerk.

My daily routine

Start of the Day

In the morning, I check my email inbox and prepare for internal or external meetings.

Morning

After reviewing my emails, I respond to customer inquiries, create quotations, and coordinate customer issues with our technical departments.

Lunch Break

I enjoy spending my lunch break with my colleagues in the cafeteria.

Afternoon

After lunch, I return to work, leading internal meetings with various departments such as engineering, logistics, legal, and tax. These meetings cover topics like potential new customer projects, creating and discussing customer contracts, and addressing day-to-day challenges with individual customers. I also conduct alignments, negotiations, and resolve problems or issues in various meetings with our clients. Shortly before the end of the day, I debrief the meetings, complete the resulting tasks, and handle new emails in my inbox.

My highlights

It’s hard to pinpoint a single standout moment at LEONI. What fascinates me about my job is that every morning when I start my workday, I never know exactly what the day will bring. Working with my clients allows me daily interaction with people from different countries with diverse concerns and questions. Occasionally, we are also involved in technical developments, providing us with an exciting perspective in sales as a link between our technical department and the customer.

My view of LEONI as an employer

My Perspective on LEONI as an Employer

In my region, LEONI is one of the leading industrial employers and enjoys an excellent reputation throughout the district. I became aware of LEONI through a school presentation that highlighted the well-thought-out training concept. The variety of departments that are rotated through during training, thorough preparation for interim and final exams, and the opportunity to engage in leadership positions or the order center in the trainee company 'LEONI Junior Group' particularly appealed to me. The exciting developments in the automotive industry provide an interesting work environment that constantly evolves, offering new challenges for employees.

I would describe LEONI in three words as international, smart, and innovative.
